James McDougal - Clinton's convicted Whitewater partner died of an apparent heart attack, while in solitary confinement. He was a key witness in Ken Starr's investigation. Was James McDougal Murdered In A Federal Prison To Silence Him?

	Ron Brown - Secretary of Commerce and former DNC Chairman. Reported to have died by impact in a plane crash. A pathologist close to the investigation reported that there was a hole in the top of Brown's skull resembling a gunshot wound. 	Mary Mahoney - A former White House intern was murdered July 1997 at a Starbucks Coffee Shop in Georgetown. The murder happened just as she was to go public with her story of sexual harassment in the White House. Mary C. C. Victor Raiser II - & - Montgomery Raiser: Major players in the Clinton fund raising organization died in a private plane crash in July 1992. 

Paul Tulley - Democratic National Committee Political Director found dead in a hotel room in Little Rock, September 1992. Described by Clinton as a "Dear friend and trusted advisor".          

Ed Willey - Clinton fund raiser, found dead November 1993 deep in the woods in Virginia of a gunshot wound to the head. Ruled a suicide. Ed Willey died on the same day his wife Kathleen Willey claimed Bill Clinton groped her in the oval office in the White House. Ed Willey was involved in several Clinton fund raising events. 

Jerry Parks - Head of Clinton's gubernatorial security team in Little Rock. Gunned down in his car at a deserted intersection outside Little Rock. Park's son said his father was building a dossier on Clinton. He allegedly threatened to reveal this information. After he died the files were mysteriously removed from his house. 

James Bunch - Died from a gunshot suicide. It was reported that he had a "Black Book" of people containing names of influential people who visited prostitutes in Texas and Arkansas. 

James Wilson - Was found dead in May 1993 from an aparent hanging suicide. He was reported to have ties to Whitewater. 

Kathy Ferguson - Ex-wife of Arkansas Trooper Danny Ferguson died in May 1994 was found dead in her living roon with a gunshot to her head. It was ruled a suicide even though there were several packed suitcases, as if she was going somewhere. Danny Ferguson was a co-defendant along with Bill Clinton in the Paula Jones lawsuit. Kathy Ferguson was a possible corroborating witness for Paula Jones. 

Bill Shelton - Arkansas state Trooper and fiancee of Kathy Ferguson. Critical of the suicide ruling of his fiancee, he was found dead in June, 1994 of a gunshot wound also ruled a suicide at the gravesite of his fiancee. 

Gandy Baugh - Attorney for Clinton friend Dan Lassater died by jumping out a window of a tall building January, 1994. His client            was a convicted drug distributor. 

Florence Martin - Accountant - Sub-contractor for the CIA related to the Barry Seal Mena Airport drug smuggling case. Died of three gunshot wounds. 

Suzanne Coleman - Reportedly had an affair with Clinton when he was Arkansas Attorney General. Died of a gunshot wound to the back of the head, ruled a suicide. Was pregnant at the time of her death. 

Paula Grober - Clinton's speech interpreter for the deaf from 1978 until her death December 9, 1992. She died in a one car accident. 

Danny Casolaro - Investigative reporter. Investigating Mena Airport and Arkansas Development Finance Authority. He slit his wrists, apparent suicide in the middle of his investigation. 

Paul Wilcher - Attorney investigating corruption at Mena Airport with Casolaro and the 1980 "October Surprise" was found dead on a toilet June 22, 1993 in his Washington DC apartment. Had delivered a report to Janet Reno 3 weeks before his death. 

Jon Parnell Walker - Whitewater investigator for Resolution Trust Corp. Jumped to his death from his Arlington, Virginia apartment balcony August 15,1993 Was investigating Morgan Guarantee scandal. 

Barbara Wise - Commerce Department staffer. Worked closely with Ron Brown and John Huang. Cause of death unknown. Died November 29, 1996. Her bruised nude body was found locked in her office at the Department of Commerce. 

Charles Meissner - Assistant Secretary of Commerce who gave John Huang special security clearance, died shortly thereafter in a small plane crash. 

Dr. Stanley Heard - Chairman of the National Chiropractic Health Care Advisory Committee died with his attorney Steve Dickson in a small plane crash. Dr. Heard, in addition to serving on Clinton's advisory council personally treated Clinton's mother, stepfather and brother. 

Barry Seal - Drug running pilot out of Mena Arkansas, Death was no accident. 

Johnny Lawhorn Jr. - Mechanic, found a check made out to Clinton in the trunk of a car left in his repair shop. Died when his car hit a utility pole. 

Stanley Huggins - Suicide. Investigated Madison Guarantee.            His report was never released. 

Hershell Friday - Attorney and Clinton fund raiser died March 1, 1994 when his plane exploded. 

Kevin Ives & Don Henry - Known as "The boys on the track" case. Reports say the boys may have stumbled upon the Mena arkansas airport drug operation. Controversal case where initial report of death was due to falling asleep on railroad track. Later reports claim the 2 boys had been slain before being placed on the tracks. I sincerely hope your family has a blessed Thanksgiving, complete with all the turkey, stuffing, and pumpkin pie that you could eat. May you enjoy fellowship with those who are dearest to you.

If you are one of the remaining Americans who has enough to eat, count your blessings! We Americans may not have many Thanksgivings left to celebrate under the Red, White, and Blue.

Disturbing Developments

In recent years, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has been regionalizing disaster supplies and rapidly procuring hundreds of millions of ready-to-eat meals, blankets, and body bags. Combined with the DHS's suspiciously massive purchases of ammunition, one has to ask why the Feds are doing this.

In fact, the government has been buying so many supplies and in such large amounts that shortages have affected the world's leading manufacturers to the point they've been forced to suspend shipments to retail customers of survival foods and ammunition.

Why is the Obama administration engaged in this behavior? There can only be one answer. This administration intends to use food as a weapon in order to force compliance in the coming marital law which will be perpetrated by a series of false flag terror attacks similar to what just occurred in Paris.

Obama does not have far to go bring America to its knees when it comes to food vulnerability. America is already in a great deal of danger as a result of food shortages, which are manifesting in certain segments of our society.

A Nation of Plenty, Sort of….

As you prepared your feast, did you think about the fact that we in America throw away more food than many countries have an opportunity to eat? As you pulled your chair up to your Thanksgiving table, did you think about the fact that half the world goes to bed hungry? America has its shame in this area, as well.

Since the end of WWII, most Americans have been blessed with plenty to eat—so much so, that we simply take our overflowing of Thanksgiving blessings for granted.

If you think an 800 number begging you to feed a hungry child is going to appear, you would be mistaken. However, there are people, who have power over us who would like to make this the last Thanksgiving that America will celebrate as a Constitutional Republic. And, to some extent, America is extremely vulnerable to being starved into submission by the bankers as a means of political control. As your family has the Thanksgiving football games on TV today and you are bombarded by messages of "love your veterans" and aren't we lucky to live in a land with such blessings, please consider the message of the picture contained in this graphic, or note the statistic listed below in relation to our land of plenty.

A Global Awakening

Brzezinski, one of the most hated and well-known globalists, recently lamented that there is a global awakening to the source of the tyranny on this planet and that "they" must accelerate their timetable for the completion of a global takeover. And the full-court press has subsequently been placed on humanity, as we are under assault in ways never witnessed before.

One of the most popular methods of subjugation has to do with controlling who eats and who dies. Historically, food has been one of the most effective tools of subjugation.

Today, as we contemplate our good fortune with our full plates and full bellies, wouldn't it be ironic if we had to contemplate a future where millions were kept on the edge of starvation as a means of political control? Of course, this could never happen in America, could it? Few people know that seven million Americans starved to death during the Great Depression in what could be called the Great American Holodomor.

The Historical Precedent of Subjugating Through Starvation

The lessons of history clearly demonstrate that dictatorial regimes, whether they be Socialists, Communists, or Marxists, will not hesitate to use food as a weapon against their own people in order to solidify power and impose absolute autocratic control. Food can be withheld from the masses by preventing it from being grown and harvested, by contaminating it and rendering it unfit for human consumption, or by simply preventing food from being distributed to a targeted population.

The two most notable examples of dictators using food as a weapon in order to destroy the free will of their people comes from the regimes of Stalin and Hitler.

Josef Stalin engaged in his own Soviet-style Holocaust when, in 1932 and 1933, an estimated six to 20 million people in the Ukraine died from starvation when Stalin implemented his prescription of "hope and change" policies, in order to eliminate the Ukrainians' desire for becoming their own nation-state.

Upon assuming power, the Stalinist Communist regime rapidly nationalized the food industry and forced all of the region's farms into collectives. Thus, Stalin's version of the Holocaust came to fruition in what history has dubbed the "Holdomor," in which millions perished in a two year period when the Soviet government began to exterminate the Ukrainian population by taking control of food and food production.

Hitler proclaimed that food could be used as a tool "…to discipline the masses," and he did not hesitate to use the control of food as a type of carrot and stick in which he would reward accomplishment and punish failure, as well as to ferment preferential class distinctions in which his armed forces received the largest food ration cards. Skilled workers who were engaged in industries critical to the building of the German war machine received food ration cards that were slightly less in value. And, finally, the prisoners and the Jews received the lowest-valued Nazi food ration cards. Food ration cards were also utilized as incentives to increase industrial production and were also increased in value when productive Nazi workers would be promoted. Food ration cards were diminished in value for the failure to meet Nazi production goals. Hitler's use of what psychologists refer to as classical conditioning techniques reduced the will of the German population to a pack of Pavlovian dogs who were conditioned to be totally dependent upon the government for their survival. WITH OVER 50 MILLION AMERICANS ON FOOD STAMPS, UNDER THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION, THE POTENTIAL FOR HISTORY TO REPEAT ITSELF IS INDEED REAL!

Most recently, Somalia thug Farah Aideed systematically starved his people into submission as a brutal civil war raged in both Darfur and Rwanda, where the Islamic regimes sought the annihilation of 'infidels', and the use of food was one of the primary weapons designed to force compliance. And, of course, Pol Pot, Castro, and Mao all used food deprivation to quarantine their political opposition and to exact absolute allegiance to their respective dictatorial regimes.

It is safe to say that the aforementioned dictators did not rule over countries that enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast similar to what you and I are enjoying today. 

The US Government and Its Mass Starvation Policies

The use of food by the U.S. government has been a matter of official U.S. governmental covert policy since 1974-1975.

In December, 1974, National Security Council directed by Henry Kissinger completed a classified study entitled, "National Security Study Memorandum 200: Implications of Worldwide Population Growth for U.S. Security and Overseas Interests." The study was based upon the unproven claims that population growth in Lesser Developed Countries (LDC) constituted a serious risk to America's national security.

In November, 1975, President Ford, based upon the tenets of NSSM 200, outlined a classified plan to forcibly reduce population growth in LDC countries through birth control, war, and famine. Ford's new national security adviser, Brent Scowcroft, in conjunction with CIA Director, George H. W. Bush, were tasked with implementing the plan, and the secretaries of state, treasury, defense, and agriculture assisted in the implementation of these insane genocidal plans.

NSSM 200 formally raised the question, "Would food be considered an instrument of national power? … Is the U.S. prepared to accept food rationing to help people who can't/won't control their population growth?" Kissinger answered these questions when he stated that he was predicting a series of contrived famines, created by mandatory programs, and this would make exclusive reliance on birth control programs unnecessary in this modern day application of eugenics in a scheme that would allow Henry to have his cake and eat it too in that the world would finally be rid of the "useless eaters."

Third world population control, using food as one of the primary weapons, has long been a matter of official covert national policy, and a portion of President Obama's Executive Order 13603 (EO), National Defense Resources Preparedness, is a continuation of that policy. Only now, the intended targets are not the LDCs but, instead, the American people; and after Obama declares martial law, food will undoubtedly be used to subjugate the more resistant regions of our country.

Could Obama Become the Next Stalin?

The potential for the extreme events in Ferguson to spread across the country are real. If the country were to go into martial law lockdown, would food be used by this administration to control the population?

On the surface, it seems unlikely that any US president would ever starve any segment of the American people to death. However, when one considers the implications of Obama's EO 13603, there can be no doubt that Obama would not hesitate to make this Thanksgiving the last Thanksgiving—if not, why else would Obama have created the executive order.

Obama has total and absolute control over all food where his EO states:

e)  "Food resources" means all commodities and products, (simple, mixed, or compound), or complements to such commodities or products, that are capable of being ingested by either human beings or animals, irrespective of other uses to which such commodities or products may be put, at all stages of processing from the raw commodity to the products thereof in vendible form for human or animal consumption.  "Food resources" also means potable water packaged in commercially marketable containers, all starches, sugars, vegetable and animal or marine fats and oils, seed, cotton, hemp, and flax fiber, but does not mean any such material after it loses its identity as an agricultural commodity or agricultural product.

(f)  "Food resource facilities" means plants, machinery, vehicles (including on farm), and other facilities required for the production, processing, distribution, and storage (including cold storage) of food resources, and for the domestic distribution of farm equipment and fertilizer…"

This unconstitutional EO is particularly disturbing in that it clearly states that the government has control over anything that is "capable of being ingested by either human beings or animals…"  If you thought that you and your loyal dog, Fido, were going to get through the coming food crisis by storing and consuming dog food, think again.

How will farmers maintain the nation's food supply when all fertilizer, their farm equipment, and all of their vehicles are under the control of this sociopathic President or the next power-hungry President?

The term "all food storage facilities" includes your refrigerator, your pantry, and even the very food in your cabinets, as well as what is on your kitchen table. In short, anywhere you keep food is now under the control of the government and can be redistributed.

Planned Starvation in Modern Day America

Were you scratching your head in bewilderment as you watched, a couple of years back, on the news, as the Amish had their farms raided, raw milk producers were jailed, and the kids running lemonade stands were shut down and ticketed? Now you know why these abuses are being perpetrated by the government in that it represents a mere conditioning process designed to get all U.S. citizens used to the idea that the government owns all food and food production.

The cleverest aspect of this EO is that no Hegelian Dialectic (i.e., false flag event) is needed as a pretense to seize food and imperil survivability. Section 201(b) of the Obama EO clearly states that this EO is enforceable under both "emergency and non-emergency conditions."

Conclusion

In an interesting footnote in history, Hitler used the Jews as forced labor as he systematically starved them to death in several of the labor death camps. What is to prevent REX 84 or PDD 51 from being carried out on American soil? After all, EO 13603 calls for civilian conscription, under the Department of the Labor, without compensation!

Is Obama setting the table to take his place among Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Castro, and Mao as another despot in the long line of tyrannical leaders who would grant themselves the authority to subjugate the masses by using food as a weapon after declaring martial law? Americans desperately need to look at history in order to understand what happens every time the people of a government allows the government to control its food supplies and farms.

I sincerely hope that you will enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner, because if Obama does decide to implement EO 13603, today's Thanksgiving dinner could become known as "The Last Thanksgiving Dinner."

For those not familiar with these stories, I have published articles on every one of them, and many more. These are the VERY MYSTERIOUS deaths we’ve been seeing around the globe of high level bankers. I will detail my thoughts on that below and provide links to some of the banker deaths.

According to a CNN Money report, the United States lost roughly 23% of its TOTAL net worth in the financial crash of 2008. You might remember the crash?

The whole thing was Bush’s fault if you don’t remember. Obama says so. Anyway, keep in mind that figure includes the top 1% of Americans we hear so much about, so a more accurate number to base things on would be the total losses experienced by the “average” diversified stock portfolio.

Virtually EVERY person I know would have given a limb to have limited their losses to a mere 23%, so we really can’t count the uber rich with the rest of us. In 2008, the average diversified mutual fund lost close to 40% in value.  

Almost HALF of the wealth of those “INVESTED” in American equities just evaporated. To wrap your head around how truly devastating the 2008 crash was, please let me remind you that it is by NO MEANS accurate to say the “average” family is heavily invested in diversified stock portfolios.

Most are in debt up to their eyeballs, living beyond their means, and surviving check-to-check. The “average” HOUSEHOLD income in 2008, for an entire working family, was only slightly over $50,000, so I think it’s safe to say, many of THOSE families were not making ANY investments into the “average” diversified stock portfolio. 

MY POINT: MOST EVERY DAY PEOPLE LOST CLOSE TO 50% OR MORE OF THEIR ENTIRE LIFE SAVINGS OR MULTI-GENERATIONAL INHERITANCES IN 2008. SOUNDS BAD RIGHT? 

TO PUT THE COMING FINANCIAL COLLAPSE INTO SOME PERSPECTIVE, THE CURRENT GLOBAL DERIVATIVE BUBBLE IS NOW 20% BIGGER THAN IT WAS IN 2008.

DO I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION NOW?

Many of us “Crazy Conspiracy Theorists” believe there are several reasons all the bankers keep dying, and it’s a safe bet that few, if any, have been actual suicides, which are how many of the deaths been classified by police.

Fact: All the world’s money derives come from just a handful of wealthy family bloodlines, known in many cases as the “SECRET SOCIETIES” (see the links below). 95% of the money on the planet’s belongs to 85 families, or something close to that.

Don’t quote me on that exactly, but it’s close. I know the 85 families is correct, but maybe it’s “only” 85% of the global money or something. Ether way, point made! Perhaps the most well known of these families to most people are the Rothschild’s, the Rockefellers, and the Carnegie’s.

Those families and their cartels have the run the world central banks just about forever, so they are infinitely more powerful than most governments even. They are the ones most governments (Including the U.S.) crawl to when they need money. My point: don’t expect any of the “suicides” to be investigated as possible murders.

If you begin to research the issue of “banker suicides,” you’ll notice many of the bankers had things in common. Some even knew each other. Many worked on trading desks, or in some trading capacity, many held the same positions but at different banks, or were upper upper level IT people with access to see the trades, positions, and/or transactions their banks had taken part in. None of the deaths are from low level employees.

Manu of the “suicides” were reasonably young (raising families), ultra successful, married, and with children… aka not “typical suicide cases.” All were in high level positions, and had access to the types of information they could draw obvious conclusions from depicting a very dark view into the future.

It’s likely many of the bankers were able to see trends or problems for their respective banks before the banks’ own boards even became aware. I suppose a few deaths MIGHT have been suicide. The rest probably tried to warn corporate officers, or worse they warned outsiders, and were silenced to delay mass hysteria.

Renowned Attorney Just Drafted Articles Of Impeachment For Obama

Nationwide, those frustrated with President Obama’s continuous disregard of the law have been calling for his impeachment. Now, a top Washington attorney is starting to draft the articles.

In order for the impeachment to come to fruition, it would need both the support of the public, and for Republicans to take the Senate in November. The combination has Democrats shaking.

Former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy is hoping to move the case forward, outlining the case for impeachment in his new book called Faithless Execution. The book both makes a legal case for impeachment, and then outlines what McCarthy views as a plan to build a foundation in Washington.

“You have to make the public case that the president has to be removed,” claimed McCarthy, “I’m trying to make it.”

McCarthy hopes that “the exercise of building the case and unfolding the administration’s pervasive lawlessness could pressure the president to reverse course and adhere to the law.” According to McCarthy, “even if the political case for ousting the president is futile, spotlighting presidential lawlessness could create the political and electoral conditions in which Congress could more effectively counter President Obama’s lawlessness.”

Here are the seven reasons McCarthy has listed for impeachment:

REFUSAL TO EXECUTE LAWS FAITHFULLY

Willful disregard for congressionally enacted, constitutionally valid law, while dictating policy by executive fiat. Including multiple unilaterally decreed amendments to the Affordable Care Act in direct contravention of the law passed by Congress.

Is Obama 'Dangerously Close To Totalitarianism'?

Power: Given the president's end-runs around Congress, his shredding of the Constitution and his assault on the authority of the courts, a second term free of electoral restraints may be a frightening prospect.

Judge Andrew Napolitano, a Fox News commentator, raised the question on Neil Cavuto's "Your World" show Wednesday. And while it seems fanciful in light of the safeguards built into our democracy and its institutions, it recognizes the threat posed by the president's policies and actions if left unchecked.

"I think the president is dangerously close to totalitarianism," Napolitano opined. "A few months ago he was saying, 'The Congress doesn't count, the Congress doesn't mean anything, I am going to rule by decree and by administrative regulation.'

"Now he's basically saying the Supreme Court doesn't count. It doesn't matter what they think. They can't review our legislation. That would leave just him as the only branch of government standing."

Some would consider this borderline hyperbole. But this is, after all, a president who has said he can't wait for Congress to act and will govern by executive order and regulations if necessary. He has questioned the Supreme Court's "unprecedented" review of ObamaCare.

As the Department of Justice turned in its homework assignment on the judicial review of the constitutionality of laws, it was a reminder that this is an administration that's already been found in contempt of court by a federal judge.

In February of last year, Louisiana Federal District Court Judge Martin Feldman found that the Obama Interior Department was in contempt of his ruling that the offshore oil drilling moratorium, imposed by the administration in 2010, was unconstitutional. After Feldman struck down the initial drilling ban, the Interior Department simply established a second ban that was virtually identical.

Judge Feldman was not amused. "Each step the government took following the court's imposition of a preliminary injunction showcases its defiance," Feldman said in his ruling. "Such dismissive conduct, viewed in tandem with the re-imposition of a second moratorium ... provides this court with clear and convincing evidence of its contempt."

As for Congress, we see the same dismissive tone. "Whenever Congress refuses to act, Joe and I, we're going to act," Obama said in February at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, with Vice President Joe Biden off to the side. "In the months to come, wherever we have an opportunity, we're going to take steps on our own to keep this economy moving."

The Deep State: The Unelected Shadow Government Is Here To Stay

America’s next president will inherit more than a bitterly divided nation teetering on the brink of financial catastrophe when he or she assumes office. He will also inherit a shadow government, one that is fully operational and staffed by unelected officials who are, in essence, running the country.

To be precise, however, the future president will actually inherit not one but two shadow governments.

The first shadow government, referred to as COG or continuity of government, is made up of unelected individuals who have been appointed to run the government in the event of a “catastrophe.”

The second shadow government, referred to as the Deep State, is comprised of unelected government bureaucrats, corporations, contractors, paper-pushers, and button-pushers who are actually calling the shots behind the scenes right now.

The first shadow government, COG, is a phantom menace waiting for the right circumstances—a terrorist attack, a natural disaster, an economic meltdown—to bring it out of the shadows, where it operates even now. When and if COG takes over, the police state will transition to martial law.

Yet as I point out in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People, it is the second shadow government, the Deep State, which poses the greater threat to our freedoms. This permanent, corporatized, militarized, entrenched bureaucracy is unaffected by elections, unaltered by populist movements, and beyond the reach of the law.

This is the hidden face of the police state.

These two shadow governments, which make a mockery of representative government and the “reassurance ritual” of voting, have been a long time in the making. Yet they have been so shrouded in secrecy, well hidden from the eyes and ears of the American people, that they exist and function in contravention to the principles of democratic government.

As the following makes clear, these shadow governments, which operate beyond the reach of the Constitution and with no real accountability to the citizenry, are the reason why “we the people” have no control over our government.

The COG shadow government plan was devised during the Cold War as a means of ensuring that a nuclear strike didn’t paralyze the federal government.

COG initially called for three teams consisting of a cabinet member, an executive chief of staff and military and intelligence officials to practice evacuating and directing a counter nuclear strike against the Soviet Union from a variety of high-tech, mobile command vehicles. If the president and vice president were both killed, one of these teams would take control, with the ranking cabinet official serving as president.

This all changed after the attacks of September 11, 2001, when it became clear that there would be no warning against a terrorist attack. Instead of waiting until an attack occurred to mobilize part-time bureaucrats and activate evacuation schemes, George W. Bush opted to change COG and establish a full-time, permanent shadow government, stationed outside the capital, run by permanently appointed (not elected) executive officials.

COG has since taken on a power—and a budget—of its own.

Incredibly, under the Obama administration, the plans for the shadow government have expanded and grown far more elaborate and costly than many realize. It is what investigative journalist William M. Arkin refers to as “the latest manifestation of an obsession with government survival.”

In much the same way that the nation was taken hostage after 9/11 by color-coded terror alerts and “See Something, Say Something” campaigns that transformed us into a fearful, watchful nation of suspects, the government’s efforts to prepare us for a so-called national disaster have, in turn, left us a constant state of near-emergency and acclimated us to the sight of militarized police, military drills on American soil, privatized prisons, the specter of internment camps, and the erosion of constitutional rights, especially as they pertain to so-called “extremists,” domestic or otherwise.

Study the COG plans carefully, however, and you’ll find that the concern isn’t so much about protecting our government as it is about protecting the nation’s governmental elite.

As Arkin reports: “Countless billions have been spent on this endeavor over the years, a secret orgy of preparedness going on behind the scenes, one that ensures Washington can defend itself, take care of its own, and survive no matter what.”

To this end, the government has invested heavily in the “architecture of fear”: massive underground bunkers—the size of small cities—which are sprinkled throughout the country for the government elite to escape to “in case of an imminent nuclear strike so that they can set up a kind of Administration-in-exile, directing every order of business from retaliation to recovery.”

These bunkers, strategically located around the nation’s capital and in key states, represent a who’s who on the shadow government’s payroll, with every department and agency represented, from the Department of Education and the Trademark Office to the Small Business Administration and the National Archives.

No sector has been overlooked: military, surveillance, counterintelligence, scientific, political, judicial, corporate contractors, as well as computer programmers, engineers, fire fighters, craftsmen, security guards, branch chiefs, financial managers, supply officers, secretaries and stenographers, all of whom have been entrusted with special ID cards allowing them clearance into the doomsday survival sites. They’ve even included individuals tasked with patent and trademark processing. They even have contingency plans to save priceless works of art.

The Federal Relocation Arc near Washington DC will reportedly serve as the emergency bunker for “every Cabinet department (and every government organization deemed essential).” Site R, a 700,000-foot facility inside Raven Rock Mountain near Camp David, will serve as a backup Pentagon. Peters Mountain near Charlottesville, Va., is the likely site for the nation’s domestic spies to hide out. Congress will retire to a subterranean facility near the posh Greenbrier resort in West Virginia, which served as an internment facility for Japanese, Italian and German diplomats during World War II. And a 600,000-square-foot complex inside Virginia’s Mount Weather is expected to be the primary relocation site for the White House, the Supreme Court and much of the executive branch.

Built into the side of a mountain, Mount Weather, near Bluemont, Va., is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This self-contained facility contains, among other things, a hospital, crematorium, dining and recreation areas, sleeping quarters, reservoirs of drinking and cooling water, an emergency power plant, a radio/television studio and a full-time police and fire department.

There is also an Office of the Presidency at Mount Weather, which regularly receives top-secret national security information from all the federal departments and agencies. This facility was largely unknown to everyone, including Congress, until it came to light in the mid-1970s. Military personnel connected to the bunker have refused to reveal any information about it, even before congressional committees. In fact, Congress has no oversight, budgetary or otherwise, on Mount Weather, and the specifics of the facility remain top-secret.

These facilities reinforce a troubling government mindset that treats the American people as relatively insignificant and expendable. Because you know who’s not on the list of key-individuals-to-be-saved-in-the-eventuality-of-a-disaster? You and me and every other American citizen who is viewed as a mere economic unit to be tallied, bought and sold by those in power.

Not to worry, however. The government hasn’t completely forgotten about us.

In the event of a “national emergency”—loosely defined as “any incident, regardless of location, that results in extraordinary levels of mass casualties, damage, or disruption severely affecting the U.S. population, infrastructure, environment, economy, or government functions”—the executive branch and its unelected appointees will be given unchecked executive, legislative and judicial power.

In such an event, the Constitution will effectively be suspended, thereby ushering in martial law.

However, writing for Radar magazine, Christopher Ketcham suggests that the government won’t have completely forgotten about the rest of us. In fact, Ketcham believes that the government also has plans to imprison hundreds of thousands of “potentially suspect” Americans in detention camps.

Ketcham describes a program created by the Department of Homeland Security that relies on a database of Americans who might be considered potential threats in the event of a national emergency. Referred to by the code name Main Core, this database reportedly contains the names of millions of Americans who, “often for the slightest and most trivial reason, are considered unfriendly, and who, in a time of panic, might be incarcerated. The database can identify and locate perceived ‘enemies of the state’ almost instantaneously.”

Sounds unnervingly like the objectives of the government’s new Domestic Terrorism Czar and the Strong Cities network, which will be working to identify and target potential extremists, doesn’t it?

Under Ketcham's scenario, if a terrorist attack occurs, the president will declare a national emergency, activating COG procedures and throwing the country into martial law with the shadow government at the helm. The administration will then round up the “dangerous” Americans listed in Main Core and place them in one of the many internment camps or private prisons built for just such an eventuality.

For all intents and purposes, the nation is one national “emergency” away from having a full-fledged, unelected, authoritarian state emerge from the shadows. All it will take is the right event—another terrorist attack, perhaps, or a natural disaster—for such a regime to emerge from the shadows.

As unnerving as that prospect may be, however, it is the second shadow government, what former congressional staffer Mike Lofgren refers to as “the Deep State, which operates according to its own compass heading regardless of who is formally in power,” that poses the greater threat right now.

Consider this: how is it that partisan gridlock has seemingly jammed up the gears (and funding sources) in Washington, yet the government has been unhindered in its ability to wage endless wars abroad, in the process turning America into a battlefield and its citizens into enemy combatants?

The credit for such relentless, entrenched, profit-driven governance, according to Lofgren, goes to “another government concealed behind the one that is visible at either end of Pennsylvania Avenue, a hybrid entity of public and private institutions ruling the country according to consistent patterns in season and out, connected to, but only intermittently controlled by, the visible state whose leaders we choose.”

This “state within a state” hides “mostly in plain sight, and its operators mainly act in the light of day,” says Lofgren, and yet the “Deep State does not consist of the entire government.”

Rather, Lofgren continues:

It is a hybrid of national security and law enforcement agencies: the Department of Defense, the Department of State, the Department of Homeland Security, the Central Intelligence Agency and the Justice Department. I also include the Department of the Treasury because of its jurisdiction over financial flows, its enforcement of international sanctions and its organic symbiosis with Wall Street.

All these agencies are coordinated by the Executive Office of the President via the National Security Council. Certain key areas of the judiciary belong to the Deep State, such as the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, whose actions are mysterious even to most members of Congress. Also included are a handful of vital federal trial courts, such as the Eastern District of Virginia and the Southern District of Manhattan, where sensitive proceedings in national security cases are conducted.

The final government component (and possibly last in precedence among the formal branches of government established by the Constitution) is a kind of rump Congress consisting of the congressional leadership and some (but not all) of the members of the defense and intelligence committees. The rest of Congress, normally so fractious and partisan, is mostly only intermittently aware of the Deep State and when required usually submits to a few well-chosen words from the State’s emissaries.

In an expose titled “Top Secret America,” The Washington Post revealed the private side of this shadow government, made up of 854,000 contract personnel with top-secret clearances, “a number greater than that of top-secret-cleared civilian employees of the government.”

Reporting on the Post’s findings, Lofgren points out:

These contractors now set the political and social tone of Washington, just as they are increasingly setting the direction of the country, but they are doing it quietly, their doings unrecorded in the Congressional Record or the Federal Register, and are rarely subject to congressional hearings…

The Deep State not only holds the nation’s capital in thrall, but it also controls Wall Street (“which supplies the cash that keeps the political machine quiescent and operating as a diversionary marionette theater”) and Silicon Valley.

As Lofgren concludes:

[T]he Deep State is so heavily entrenched, so well protected by surveillance, firepower, money and its ability to co-opt resistance that it is almost impervious to change… If there is anything the Deep State requires it is silent, uninterrupted cash flow and the confidence that things will go on as they have in the past. It is even willing to tolerate a degree of gridlock: Partisan mud wrestling over cultural issues may be a useful distraction from its agenda.

Remember this the next time you find yourselves mesmerized by the antics of the 2016 presidential candidates or drawn into a politicized debate over the machinations of Congress, the president or the judiciary: it’s all intended to distract you from the fact that you have no authority and no rights in the face of the shadow governments.
